The BC Centre for Ability is a leader in providing rehabilitation services for acquired brain injury.

Since 1997, we have operated the Community Brain Injury Program for Children & Youth in B.C. This program provides and coordinates short-term, interdisciplinary, acute rehabilitation services to children and youth who do not have third party insurance.

A member of the BC Concussion Advisory Network, we are also active in promoting early intervention for concussion. Our goal is to prevent re-injury and promote a healthy return to learning and life by helping children, youth, and their families recognize and manage concussion symptoms.

Community Brain Injury Program for Children & Youth

Community Brain Injury Program for Children & Youth is the only program of its kind in BC that provides short-term, community-based rehabilitation services to children and youth up to 19 years of age, within the first year of an acquired brain injury. Therapies may include occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, counselling and service coordination.
