BC Centre for Ability (BCCFA) is pleased to announce the launch of a new client record management (CRM) system and secure, electronic portal for clients and families in the Supported Child Development Program and Community Brain Injury Program.

Over the past year, we have worked hard as an organization to design and implement this ground-breaking tool for our community. This online portal allows families to engage with BCCFA in a transformative and new way, offering families the ability to sign consent forms, collaborate on documentation such as service plans and provide feedback. Online resources, educational content, and a toy lending library are also offered through the portal, which features real-time inventory availability of toys/resources. The launch of this new CRM and client portal provides an accessible tool that improves data sharing, transparency and collaboration – it demonstrates our commitment to ensuring that clients, families and caregivers are at the centre of everything we do.

The benefits of this launch to BC Centre for Ability are plenty and include more streamlined and efficient workflow, accurate data capture and more powerful data analytics and reporting, all of which will allow us to respond to referrals and activate services more quickly. The reduction or elimination of printing, faxing and postage will result in significant cost savings and more environmentally-friendly and sustainable processes. The implementation of this new CRM and client portal is just one example of the many innovations we have recently implemented in our commitment to digital transformation. With the rapid progression of COVID-19, the outcome of these commitments we made one year ago could not have come to fruition at a better time for BC Centre for Ability and the people we serve.

In the months and years to come, we look forward to continuing this journey of expansion and creating new ways to integrate technology into service delivery. The community’s support of BC Centre for Ability has been instrumental in ensuring the successful launch of this new platform.
